COMEDIAN and actress Jennifer Saunders surprised customers when she visited a garden centre near Wargrave.
The Absolutely Fabulous star dropped into Bell Antiques at Hare Hatch Sheeplands while filming an episode of the BBC show Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.
Saunders, who was accompanied by antiques expert Philip Serrell, said: “I am a great browser and I do collect antiques, mainly decorative things and bronzes. I also love a good garden centre like this so I am very happy to be here.”
Saunders also joined by her six-year-old whippet Olive who she said goes “everywhere” with her.
Bell Antiques owner Nigel Timms said: “Jennifer was very nice and I enjoyed talking to her.” Rob Scott, who owns the garden centre, added: “Jennifer and Philip certainly created a lot of excitement when customers spotted them.”
The programme is likely to be broadcast in the autumn.
